Two massive updates have arrived from Nexon America which could bring some relief for our beleaguered gaming Christmas shoppers.
The Free-To-Play (FTP, see, relief right there, no cash outlay) titles Maple Story and Riders of Icarus have had an infusion of long-awaited additions and enhancements.
Maple Story has seen the addition of the V Update, this is the biggest update the game has received in almost ten years. The V Update brings with it new depths by allowing Level 200+ players to achieve the 5th Job Advancement skills, as well as “a reduced leveling curve providing quicker progress for fans“. Once players achieve this lofty height they will be able to test themselves in Arcane River, a whole new continent.
Nexon has also been hard at work on Riders of Icarus which has received an update in the form of Ranger’s Fury. Players who have been able to attain Level 40+ are able to enter the Cloying Wastes. Here you will find a “vast desert with secrets to discover, dangers to overcome and a variety of all-new mounts and familiars to tame”.
Some other Key Features included in Ranger’s Fury:
- “New Ranger class – The Ranger can deal heavy damage to foes up-close and far away with their bow, vambraces or their power of Chaos. Rangers can further specialize in weapon skills that offer increased damage, enhanced abilities and drastically different playstyles.
- Increased Level Cap – the level cap has increased to 50, allowing players an opportunity to further increase their strength against the increasingly dangerous enemies, monsters and factions within the Cloying Wastes.”
