Reality TV’s The Voice Video Game Announced

Video game creators Bigben and Voxler have this week announced that they will be taking ‘The Voice’, one of the most popular reality television singing shows, and bringing it to the video game arena.

Delta Goodrem on The VoiceThe Voice will enter a market chomping at the bit for music games with recent announcements surrounding We Sing as well as the resurgence of Guitar Hero and Rock Band.  The Voice video game stands to do something that those games could not, though, by drawing in a large section of their audience from the cult following of the reality TV show to become new consumers in the video game market.

Don’t expect an unpolished product, either.  French developers Voxler have over a decade of experience in the karaoke game sector including hits like Let’s Sing.  They’re also in possession of one of the most heralded voice recognition systems which will be crucial in judging a player’s performance.

Everything from the hilarious and inspirational blind auditions to the famous big red chairs will be on show in The Voice video game.  While no official setlist has been announced, the game’s description champions that the game will feature “all your favourite hits and their official music videos to bring the show to an explosive level of fun.

The Voice video game is set to be released later this year and will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Wii, and Wii U.
