The gaming world is all ears as it waits for more details surrounding Nintendo’s mysterious new console, the Nintendo NX.  Rain Games, developers of the upcoming World to the West, may have dropped a key hint as to the estimated time of arrival for the new console in an exchange with Miketendo64.

World to the WestWorld to the West is an action puzzler game based in Teslagrad where the four main characters must salvage a world corrupted by greed and power.  Through an arsenal of unique abilities, players will explore the vast world and unlock the secrets of an ancient legend among long-lost cities.

The current list of consoles for which World to the West will be released is already fairly extensive.  PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Wii U, and PC will all be getting versions, but it was the response from Ole Ivar Rudi, the artist behind the game, that teased a potential fifth console for the list.

As we mentioned earlier it’s very unlikely to come out on 3DS, but it will show up on additional platforms. Maybe even another Nintendo platform, but our lips are sealed though.”, the Rain Games artist said.

Maybe even another Nintendo platform and NOT the company’s flagship mobile gaming device?  That doesn’t leave many options and the most likely of the remaining paths points directly to a launch on the Nintendo NX.

World to the West is scheduled to release on the aforementioned four platforms in the first quarter of 2017.  The Nintendo NX is slated for a March release in 2017 and that means the two fit right into a perfect debut partnership.
