Are you looking for a game that will satisfy your craving for everything Marvel? Well, you’ve come to the right place because today we are bringing you a review of Marvel Future Fight.
Marvel Future Fight is an RPG (Role Playing Game) that brings together a plethora of characters from the Marvel Universe in which you can play a unique storyline.
The game features iconic characters such as Captain America, Iron Man, Star Lord, Gamora, Ant Man, Wasp and characters from the TV side of things such as Agent/Director Coulson, Skye/Daisy Johnson, Jessica Jones and Daredevil.
It also features villains and villainous groups such as Hydra, AIM, M.O.D.O.K, Red Skull, Ronan, Loki, etc.
The storyline is unique to the game and ties in characters that are both well-known and some which are unknown and features text dialogue, but I would also like there to be some instances of audio dialogue.
The diversity of the characters and different traits they bring is quite interesting to play with. With each character comes different moves and when paired with characters from either the same show or movie, team bonuses are triggered which can help determine the outcome of a mission, for example having Director Coulson, Daisy Johnson and Mockingbird on a team would trigger the Team Coulson team bonus that increases all attack and damage rates by 5%.
With a majority of characters, there are different costumes that are brought in from different storylines unique to that character, i.e. Female Captain America and Civil War Captain America.
Like most mobile games, there are upgrades available to make a character stronger. A player receives upgrades in the form of ISO 8 and Biometrics which when they have enough, they can use to level and rank up their character and master different skill sets.
The gameplay mechanics are quite simple, there is a joystick and several buttons, which trigger different abilities/moves, which are positioned on the screen and are fully customisable in terms of size and placement.
One thing which hasn’t really been seen much in Marvel Games is a social aspect. Marvel Future Fight gives players the option to create an alliance and invite their friends. Another part of the social element in the game is the team up mode where players can call in either their friends or another player to help them for about 30 seconds to a minute in completing a section of the mission.
One other aspect of the game which is unique is in some parts of the game, a computer controlled character will join as either an ally or another enemy in addition to the one at the end of the mission, which can change the outcome of the game, sometimes they are easy to beat but at other times they prove to be quite the challenge.
Overall, the game is rather unique as an RPG and successfully incorporates the Marvel Universe into a mobile game. Although there are some things that they can fix, the game is quite enjoyable and I would recommend downloading it.
Marvel Future Fight is now available to download on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
